Franklin Garcia is the President and founder of the DC Latino
Caucus, a nonprofit advocacy organization. He holds an
Ex-Officio seat on the DC Democratic State Committee, the
official Democratic Party of the Nation’s Capital, Washington
DC, where he is also the Corresponding Secretary and maintains
much of the Party’s communication tools, including the party’s
website, blog, and other communication tools used to reach
Democrats in the District of Columbia. He is also on the
Executive Committee of the Ward 5 Democrats and the Secretary of
Communications for the PLD, Washington Chapter, the biggest
political organization of the Dominican Republic.
Cutting edge technology has been the career focus for Franklin.
His unique application of technology is evident in his work.
From designing websites for politicians , like Hillary Clinton,
former DC Mayor Adrian Fenty, Dominican President Leonel
Fernandez to developing an entire line of bilingual
computer-based training application “MaestroPC,” Franklin has
been effective in using technology in his work. His recent
focus has been on increasing Latino presence in local city
government and local elected office. He holds various
certifications in Information Technology, and is employed as a
Senior Systems Administrator.
He is a founding member, and past President, of the Group of
Dominican Professionals in Washington DC, and is on the Board of
various local non-profit organizations.
Franklin came to live in Washington with his parents and sister
at the age of 10. He attended public school in Montgomery
County, Maryland and holds an undergraduate degree in Finance
from the George Washington University and a Master of Arts
degree in Financial Economics for Public Policy from the
American University. In addition to being a regular local
political blogger, he writes for a local Spanish language
newspaper in the DC-Baltimore metropolitan area.

Franklin Garcia es el Presidente y fundador del DC Latino Caucus,
una organización sin fines de lucros. Es el Secretario de
Correspondencia y Comunicación del Partido Demócrata de
Washington DC, donde el mantiene las herramientas de
comunicación que utiliza el Partido Demócrata, para comunicarse

programas bilingües, la aplicación de la tecnología ha estado
siempre presente en sus logros. Recientemente se ha enfocado en

en el gobierno estatal. El es acreditado con varias
certificaciones en informática y trabaja como ingeniero de
sistema.
Franklin es miembro fundador y ex presidente del Grupo de
Dominicanos Profesionales en Washington DC, y está en la juntas
de varias organizaciones locales.
Franklin llego a vivir a Washington DC con sus padres a la edad
de 10 años. Curso la segundaria en el sistema de escuela
pública del condado de Montgomery en el estado de Maryland y
tiene una licenciatura en finanza de George Washington
University y una maestría de American University. Franklin es
miembro activo del la asociación nacional de periodistas Latinos
(NAHJ) y escribe para El Ojo Latino.
